We had the BEST experience yesterday, shopping for a new mattress for our teenager's bed. We were dreading the whole process, as the last couple times we've bought new mattresses we feel like it's an overwhelming experience, not knowing the pro's and con's between brands - not knowing where the firm-soft ones are, etc. And just feel like we overpay every time. Greg met with us at a convenient time that worked for us on a Saturday morning. He asked us a few questions that helped him narrow down the beds for us - then put little tags on the ones he thought we should try out - then left us alone to relax on each one. He was NOT pushy at all, NOT salesy at all, and I almost didn't want to leave! He and his staff were so friendly and easy going - and I knew I was guaranteed the best price around. I hate shopping for things, especially bigger ticket items but Greg made the mattress shopping experience stress free and no pressure! Edit (6/1) - The Nectar Premier mattress I purchased was unfortunately faulty and did not expand correctly. Currently working with Greg to rectify the situation! Edit (6/9) - Still waiting to receive a new mattress. Was unaware of the warranty process as well. I guess when purchasing from a store you have to do all warranty claims thru the store and not with Nectar directly. Will update again once I am able to get my first nights sleep on the Nectar premier mattress. ~ Jared A

I absolutely recommend Greg and Factory Direct. My husband and I are finicky about mattresses and Greg helped us pick out the perfect mattress for us. He is very knowledgeable about the variety of mattresses he offers and since he helps you by appointment, you get his undivided attention the entire time you're there. Greg is super friendly and it's not a pushy salesman. You could tell he sincerely wanted to help us and not just make a sale. And let's talk prices! I had put off mattress shopping for a while, and started with the big box stores. Was not having much luck when I found Factory Direct Mattress, where you make an appointment to try out your mattress! It’s convenient, easy, clean and Greg was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions without pushing me into buying anything. He brought me up to date with all the latest mattress technology, (they almost all come in a box now!) , I bought our mattress that day and felt good about what we were getting and also supporting small business. Shopping for a mattress can be a difficult experience. You really need to know what you are looking for and spend some time doing some research because it’s too easy to overspend on a mattress today. Greg was extremely kind and patient with my girlfriend and I! He asked us for the level of softness/firmness we were looking for in a mattress and marked some of the mattresses he thought we'd like. Once we got it down to 2, he gave us more details and price information to help make our decision. All together, we spent about an hour and a half evaluating what we wanted to pick (it's a big decision!) but Greg gave us all the time in the world. Most mattress stores are busy and leave you feeling too rushed to really lay down and imagine sleeping in each bed- this place gets it right and really encourages you to only buy what you really like! ~ Elijah M

My recent experience with Factory Direct Mattress Store was excellent. An appointment was made available when it worked best for me. The showroom was easy to find and clean and organized. Greg listened to my preferences for 2 different mattresses and led me to the best options where I could try out each mattress. He was very knowledgeable and it was so helpful to be able to trust him to narrow down the options (because there are so many!). Greg was very accommodating. He let us choose a time that worked for our schedule to come to look at mattresses. We had the whole show room to ourselves while we picked out the mattress that was best for us. We got such a great deal on our purchase that we ended up buying a mattress cover and three pillows and we were still under our budget. While there, we did not feel any pressure to buy anything from Factory Direct Mattress Store and we were able to go at our own pace which is rare in the mattress buying industry! Great experience buying a mattress from Factory Direct! The customer service was spectacular- he was very knowledgeable about each mattress, gave us recommendations based on our likes and dislikes, and made the process very easy. Factory direct was the only mattress retailer that had all high end retailers, such as dream cloud, nectar, and more. We actually purchased a factory direct mattress however after trying them all. One really great selling point for us was that he was able to match all retailer’s Black Friday sale prices, and even threw in a free king size pillow. Definitely recommend!! ~ Cali A

I’d been wanting to try out some online mattresses without the commitment of buying sight unseen/unfelt, and a visit here worked out perfectly. My wife and I are EXTREMELY happy with the service and the products at Factory Direct Mattress Store in Overland Park, KS!! We called Greg Doring from his Facebook entry in the market place and he agreed to meet me at his store after hours. (I really appreciate his willingness to meet with me!!) I was faced with the difficult decision of moving my dad into a retirement home and needed a bed for my father same day. Greg met me at his store within the hour and helped me select the best mattress based on my dad’s needs. My husband and I worked with Greg and Mike to find the perfect mattress for us! The experience was seamless from beginning to end. Greg did a wonderful job communicating with us to schedule and coordinate times to meet, demonstrating flexibility and kindness throughout the process. Once we arrived, we were able to speak 1 on 1 with Mike about what we were looking for, our budget, and all related preferences. He took his time to educate, answer questions, and show us different mattresses based on the ones we liked the most. I was very pleased with the personalized service we received at Factory Direct Mattress. I have degenerative disc disease of the back and I wanted a mattress that was comfortable and supportive too. They understand you spend a third of your life sleeping and that is the reason for the process: We made the appt, went to their store and had more than enough time to consider and try several different manufacturer’s. No rush, very patient and excellent industry knowledge. Tried different beds they suggested after asking us what we were looking for, and overall just a positive experience. Greg is amazing! He spent hours with us discussing a variety of brands but never was high pressure or tried to “step us up” to a more expensive mattress. We purchased two different brands of twin extra long mattresses (makes a split king) because hubby and I have different preferences. Unfortunately after 3 weeks of being uncomfortable, I knew the one I chose would not work out. Exchanging was simple, fast and Greg did all paperwork. My appointment was with Mike and he was really helpful and nice. I went in looking for one particular mattress and he suggested a couple others that were similar and I ended up selecting one of those. I also got an adjustable base and he showed me all three styles they had and let me try them all out. It was definitely a no pressure, no stress shopping experience. We recently bought a Ghostbed mattress from Greg @ FDM. Easy and quick transaction, Greg pointed us at the best choices for our needs and helped us load the box into our SUV. In and out within 45 minutes. When I saw that the Ghostbed website was offering an additional discount, Greg quickly and easily made the adjustment and issued me a refund for the same amount.
